Power of Gratitude

We all face struggles in our lives. Sometimes when we look at what makes us struggle it doesn’t even make sense. A rude driver cuts us off, someone jumps in a line in front of us, a friend gives us that “annoyed” look and our mind explodes with a response that, if we give it full expression, will be something we will likely regret.
I am more convinced than ever, that gratitude is a solution to a lot of this kind of brokenness. When we express gratitude to God, to family, to friends, or even to a stranger who acts kindly toward us, we are tapping into something that is truly powerful. Joy, which is an outgrowth of gratitude is often manifested in two very powerful words, “Thank You!”
G. K. Chesterton once said, “I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.” I challenge you THIS WEEK to see how many opportunities you can find to express your heartfelt gratitude to the people in your spheres. See if those expressions result in the double-joy of blessing both you and the recipient!
Blessings, and thanks for taking the time to read this! ;-)
