The Bible talks about the power of our prayers in James 5:13-16. “…Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven… The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” These verses encourage me so much to continue praying earnestly during every season of my life. How easy it is to forget to come to God when things are going well or when we are coasting through life, feeling like we can handle things on our own. These verses remind me of God’s power and that only He is capable of such powerful results and to bring healing where needed.
The next 3 Virtues in the prayer list for our children are: Purity, Kindness, and Generosity. May you see God produce wonderful results in your children in these areas as you earnestly seek Him and pray for your little ones.
Purity “Create in them a pure heart, O God, and let that purity of heart be shown in their actions” (Ps. 51:10).
Kindness “Lord, may my children always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else” (1 Thess. 5:15).
Generosity “Grant that my children may be generous and willing to share, and so lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age” (1 Tim. 6:18-19).
