My prayer topic this week is WISDOM.
Proverbs 3:13-14
Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.
Wisdom is God-given skill for everyday living, the application of truth that equips us to live as God designed us to. Wisdom is more than the knowledge of facts and the accumulation of experience. While both play a role in wisdom, knowledge and experience are like books that provide us with helpful information, whereas wisdom is putting that information to use.
Children need to be trained in wisdom so they learn that God’s ways are best in every situation. Your children will come to realize that wisdom is its own reward. As they put into practice the lessons God teaches them, they will become even wiser.
Praying for your child’s wisdom!
Wisdom can be learned; ask God to surround your child with people who will act and speak wisely.
Wisdom can be ignored, ask God that your child will see that wisdom is rewarding and that folly is harmful.
Wisdom can make a parent’s heart glad; pray that God will make you a model of wisdom for your child.
