I’ve been using these “prayer cards” as a catalyst to keep my prayer life active, for myself and my family! I encourage you to pray this over your children as well. The first topic is FAITH. Let’s stay connected in prayer to the One who gives us faith and is the source of our daily strength and hope.
FAITH
“that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:5
Faith is “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Faith is a “spiritual sense” much like touch is a physical sense. It enables us to live our days on earth in light of the heavenly home God is preparing for us. Faith also convinces us that there is more to life than what our eyes can see.
Children need their faith to be grounded in truth, beginning with a relationship with God through Christ. Helping your children grow in faith is foundational to all other character development.
Faith can grow; ask God to put people in your child’s life who will encourage their spiritual development.
Faith can be tested; pray that your child will trust God in every circumstance and be trained in the truths of the Bible.
Faith can be put in the wrong people and things; ask God to protect your child’s mind and heart from being deceived.
