Let’s talk about Angels…

There are some common misunderstandings about angels that I used to hold.  The Bible gives us the real truth about angels.  Let’s explore together:

What does the Bible tell us about angels, what can we teach our kids about angels that will help them form truths about angels?

The Bible tells us that the angels serve God, they help Gods people, they give messages from God, they Praise God, they rejoice when a sinner repents and changes their ways for good to follow Jesus. (See verses Hebrews 1:14, Luke 1:26-38, Job 38:7, Luke 15:10)

They could have wings, or look like a person, or have white robes, or appear to be men. (See verses Ex 25:20, Heb 13:2, Luke 24:4, ) It depends on the job that God sends them to do.

People will not become angels people will be people forever. (Luke 23:42-43).

All of God’s angels are good (Luke 9:26). Angels are not to be worshipped they too worship God. (Rev 19:10) Some angels are bad they help the enemy of God, whose name is– Satan.  One day all of the bad angels will go to hell along with Satan. (Eph 6:12, Mat 25:41)

After reading about angels in the Bible we can be informed and knowledgeable.  I still like the cute pictures and depictions of angels even if those pictures are not what angels really look like.  Yet I know angels are real and they serve The Lord Jesus.
