Six ladies climbed their way to SUCCESS on Sunday, August 17th.
We had SO much fun!! Debbie was our SPRINT CLIMBER, while Jan, who represents the 60+ age group, KICKED our BUTTS, Shirley was the COMEBACK KID, Jodie was the RULE FOLLOWER, Lisa had the STRENGTH and I was the RAH-RAH girl (go team!!).
We all surprised ourselves of what we had accomplished. It is amazing what you can do with a little encouragement and determination. We will definitely schedule another rock climbing event in the near future.

There will be two walks to choose from on Saturday, August 23rd.
1) Tracy will be leading a walk around the S/N Lakes. Trail is cement sidewalk and the last lake is asphalt. There are restrooms and drinking fountains along the path. Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed.
2) Sherie will be leading a walk along the Michelson Bike Trail. The trail is asphalt and is shared with cyclists. There are no restrooms or fountains along the path. Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed.
Both walks are easy will take approximately 1 hour to complete. Meeting place is Rancho Middle School located at 4861 Michelson Drive Irvine, CA 92612. Meeting time: 7:25 and the walk will begin at 7:30 sharp.

Take the PLUNGE! There is a swimming group that meets at the Woodbridge Adult Pool located off W. Yale Loop and N. Blue Lake (pool is located on N. Blue Lake on the LEFT) in Woodbridge every Friday at 7:00pm. The group swims for approximately 20 min. It is a great way to cool off during the hot months and have some fun while building new friendships.

Sherie leads a cycling event every Friday at 5:00. The cycling group meets at Boomers located off of Michelson/Harvard in Irvine towards the back of the parking lot. The ride is on the UCI bike trail (we are not on the road so we don’t have to worry about cars) and we travel towards Newport Beach Back Bay. The ride is paved and FLAT so if you are a beginner it is a PERFECT route to get started on.
We ride approximately 8-10 miles and each person rides at their own pace. No one is left behind, there is always “circle back” person to keep in touch with each person.

1) Debra W. will be leading the walk around the S/N Irvine Lakes. The meeting place is Rancho Middle School at 7:25am. The walk will begin promptly at 7:30am. This walk is an easy walk and is approximately 3 miles. Dogs are welcome (must be on a leash).
2) Sherie S. will be leading a walk at Crystal Cove State Beach. The meeting place is Rancho Middle School at 7:00am. We will be carpooling since there is a $10 per vehicle fee. We will be leaving Rancho Middle School at 7:10am. This walk is an easy walk that will take approximately 1.15 hours to complete. The trail is paved (dogs are welcome but need to be on a leash). After completing the walk we will be going to Pacific Whey for breakfast so bring $$.
As always, you need to bring water, wear sunscreen, hat and sunglasses.

Ladies’ Cooking Demonstration
Fritos and onion dip just don’t cut it anymore! Impress your guests with chic appetizers, salads, and more. Guests chefs will show and prepare for us their favorite party pleasers.

Cost $10 Includes sampling of recipes. Space is limited. Payment must be made no later than August 10 to secure your spot.

Time to get your photos organized. Whether you have been doing it for years or you want to start, scrapbooking is a fun for everyone. Nancy S. will be available to help you learn quick ways to capture your memories. Please bring your photos and scrapbooking supplies. Feel free to invite your friends.
We will begin meeting every other Thursday starting June 19.

The Adventure Club is at it again!
We ladies have been hiking, swimming, cycling, jogging, doing Fit-4-Christ and therefore, thought it was the right time to add something xtreme. So Indoor Rock Climbing it is!!!
